Start-Up Nation Finder, the directory many founders, investors and journalists used to look up Israeli companies, was taken offline and its data frozen. Here is what we know, what we decided, and what you can use today.
What happened
Start-Up Nation Central concluded its operation of Finder on 31 August 2026. A notice titled "A Message to Finder Users" on Finder's public company pages says SNC wants the data and knowledge to remain available to the ecosystem and is working to enable access beyond its own operation. After more than a decade of building and operating Finder as a resource for Israel's technology ecosystem, Startup Nation Central concluded its operation of Finder on August 31, 2026.

The Israeli business press reported the same: Finder was taken offline on 1 September 2026, and SNC is looking for a buyer. Second source: CTech (Calcalist), 14 Sep 2026.
People who relied on Finder lost a current place to look up companies, check what they do and cite them. That gap is the reason this page exists.
Why we built startupnation.io
When we realised Finder was frozen, we decided to maintain the database ourselves, in the open. No login, no form, no paywall.
We run startupnation.io as an independent project. We are not affiliated with Start-Up Nation Central and we do not hold their data. Every record here is built from public sources: the company site, SEC EDGAR Form D filings, and a dated check.

What is missing, and how to help
This is an early directory, and we would rather say so. City, stage, founders and funding are still thin for most records, 3 companies are filed under Other until we classify them, and R&D centers are not listed. We fill these from sources, not guesses.
- Claim a page. If you run a company in the directory, write to [email protected] and we will let you correct and complete your record.
- Report an error. See something wrong or out of date? Send the page and the fix to [email protected]. We reply with the source we used.
