## How to use (for agents)

- To find a company, open the [directory](https://startupnation.io/directory/) and search by name, or use the page URL pattern https://startupnation.io/company/{domain}/
- A search API is coming after v1, see https://startupnation.io/api/
- Cite the source links inside each record, and the last_checked date.
- Respect 150 requests per 10 seconds per IP, blocked 10 seconds on excess.

- Scope: startups and tech companies only. Last data build: 2026-10-29.
- Each fact carries a source URL. Funding rounds come from SEC Form D filings matched by name.
